IS THE WORLD PAYING ATTENTION?

Earthquakes, Solar Flares, Hurricanes Spark End Times Fear, Prophecy Interest

Earthquakes in diverse places, a record hurricane season, the threat of an avian flu pandemic, strange activity on the Sun and the ongoing war in Iraq have many people feeling that the world has entered the Biblical "Last Days."

(PRWEB) November 30, 2005 -- VMI Publishers and Musterion Press, publishers of the best selling The Ahriman Gate, have watched catastrophic events of Biblical proportions around the world stimulate interest in Bible prophecy and books on this subject. Donna Anderson, marketing manager for Raiders News Service, estimates that over the last few months weather anomalies alone have pushed traffic to the The Ahriman Gate website ( www.AhrimanGate.com ) and Raiders News Service website ( www.RaidersNewsUpdate.com ) to a whopping 70 percent increase in new visitors over previous months for a new daily reach of 40 million people according to Alexa. Following Hurricane Katrina, the Raiders News Update store saw a 25 percent jump in sales of the 2005 fiction title The Ahriman Gate by Tom and Nita Horn. In addition, Tom Horn’s first two books The Gods Who Walk Among Us and Spiritual Warfare: The Invisible Invasion into the top ranking at Amazon.com.

The Horns, whose RaidersNewsUpdate.com website debuted over six years ago, have watched interest in End Times prophecy swell over the past decade. Their news reports, which have focused on everything from UFOs to global warming, have recently been referred to by writers of the L.A. Times Syndicate, MSNBC, Christianity Today, Coast to Coast, World Net Daily, White House Correspondents and dozens of newsmagazines and press agencies around the globe. Recent events such as the Iraqi war, hurricane Katrina and Rita, and more recently the push by government funded research laboratories to create entirely new life forms have sparked Internet chatter and even church sermons about their research. Yet the underlying question remains. Could warning signs of the End Times actually be unfolding?

"I believe people are coming to understand that the frequency and scope of events forecasted in the Bible are clear evidence that prophecy is coming to pass before our very eyes," says Tom. "Jesus Himself pointed to these events as signs that His appearing would be near."

Tom Horn, a former pastor and exorcist sees recent events as ominous, though he is cautious not to predict the time of Christ’s return.

"The Bible said that there would be ‘earthquakes in various places, famines, and pestilence’s’ before the return of Christ. The fact that anomalous phenomena such as UFO sightings and ghostly apparitions are also occurring is equally prophetic," Horn says. "Whether this is, in fact, the trumpet set to the angel’s mouth no one knows for sure. But the days ahead may see governments and religious institutions making disclosure that could be a wake up call for Christians."

Prophecy expert Donna Anderson, who is the webmaster for the popular Raiders News Service site ( www.RaidersNewsUpdate.com ), believes recent earthquake activity as well as virulent new health challenges such as the avian flu could foreshadow the fulfillment of Bible prophecy. "Events are unfolding around the world, which increasingly appear to be beyond coincidence," she says.
